Message from Helen Stones, Head of College

At Barrow Hall College, we are deeply committed to helping every student achieve their full potential. We take great pride in getting to know each student personally. Here, no one is just a number.

Understanding how students learn best and what motivates them is central to our approach. The strong relationships between staff and students create a supportive college community where everyone is valued and can truly flourish.
We know choosing the right college and courses can feel daunting, but we’re here to make that journey as smooth as possible. Our prospectus, Open Evening, and transition events are designed to help students thoroughly explore their options. Our dedicated Heads of Year and experienced College Tutors are on hand to offer expert advice and guidance every step of the way.

Our investment in students goes beyond the classroom. Enrichment opportunities, including the Aspiring Professionals Programme, High Achievers Programme, and Careers Training Zone, ensure a well-rounded college experience.

I am incredibly proud to lead the team here at Barrow Hall College and look forward to welcoming you in September as we continue to grow and succeed together.

Message from Ben, College President

Welcome to Barrow Hall College
Choosing where to go for sixth form is a big decision, and it’s completely normal to feel a bit overwhelmed by the choice.
What sets Barrow Hall apart is simple: we’re intentionally small. We don’t want to be a massive sixth form where you’re just another face in a crowded room or an ID number on a system.

Because of our size, our teachers and staff get to know you properly. They learn what you’re good at, where you might need extra support, and what you’re aiming for. If you hit a roadblock, you won’t have to wait weeks for an appointment or jump through endless hoops to get the support you need, there is always someone available to sit down and help you work it out quickly.
Whether your next step is university, an apprenticeship, or employment, you’ll leave here fully prepared for whatever comes next.

If you’re looking for a welcoming environment where people know your name, care about how you’re doing, and support you from day one, Barrow Hall is the best place for you.
We look forward to welcoming you next year.
