On Wednesday the 29th of June, the Year 8 Rugby team overcame a resilient Hawkley Hall to claim the North West Plate trophy.

An outstanding 1st half saw Sankey race in to a 22-0 lead at half time before a spirted 2nd half display from Hawkley saw the lead cut to just 8 points, but the Sankey boys showed great character to hold on and come out eventual 24-14 winners.

The team now look forward to the Warrington Schools final on the 14th July.
